Objectives: To highlight the diversity of creative activity delivering regeneration objectives across the Yorkshire and Humber region in the UK, to promote key success factors, and to make that information more widely available in order to advocate the power of creativity in regeneration to all agencies involved in neighbourhood renewal.
Key Findings: Creative organisations play a key role in regeneration across a range of key themes including crime and community safety, employment and enterprise, housing, environment, health and education; they do so mainly through the delivery of mainstream objectives in partnership with other organisations; creative organisations have expertise in involving and engaging people which is vital for neighbourhood renewal projects. There is a lack of a body of evidence which prevents successful local projects from having a wider impact.
Methods: Case studies - questionnaire
